LOCAL 176 NO LONGER ACCEPTS WALK INS FOR BOOK 4

Effective June 24, 2026, IBEW Local 176 has suspended walk-in Book 4 registrations while we review and update our registration process.
Effective July 22, 2026
To qualify for Book 4:
Before you are eligible to sign Book 4, you must submit the required information listed below to our hall via email. Paperwork cannot be filled out or submitted in person at our hall. All completed submission will be reviewed by Local 176 for approval - this can take some time, please don't expect an immediate response. Once approved, you will be notified and able to come sign Book 4 in person.
Individuals seeking to register for Book 4 may submit their name, contact information, qualifications, license/status information, work history, and hours by email to [email protected]. Any IBEW Members should also submit home local/classification information. The Book 4 Questionnaire found below should also be completed in full and submitted to the same email.
Local 176 will maintain a record of inquiries received during this period and will contact applicants with further instructions once the updated registration process is available.
This temporary procedure is administrative in nature and is intended to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and consistency of the Book 4 registration process.
Effective July 22, 2026

- IBEW members: must present a current dues receipt (dues ticket).
- Non-IBEW members: must live within IBEW Local 176's jurisdiction.
- Both members and non-members must provide proof of at least 2,000 hours of electrical work experience.

Para calificar para el Libro 4:
Durante este período temporal, las personas que deseen registrarse en el Libro 4 podrán enviar por correo electrónico su nombre, información de contacto, calificaciones, información sobre licencias o estatus, y experiencia laboral a [email protected], o mediante un formulario en línea una vez que esté disponible.
Local 176 mantendrá un registro de las consultas recibidas durante este período y se comunicará con los solicitantes con instrucciones adicionales una vez que el proceso de registro actualizado esté disponible.
Este procedimiento temporal es de carácter administrativo y tiene como objetivo mejorar la eficiencia, precisión y consistencia del proceso de registro del Libro 4.

Para calificar para el Libro 4:
- Los miembros de IBEW deben presentar un comprobante vigente de pago de cuotas sindicales (dues ticket).
- Las personas que no sean miembros de IBEW deben vivir dentro de la jurisdicción de IBEW Local 176.
- Presentar comprobante de al menos 2,000 horas de experiencia laboral en trabajo eléctrico.
